The US-led coalition has reportedly said it will withdraw from Iraq and that it respects the country’s decision to order them out of the country.
The Iraqi parliament said it wanted American troops to leave after a US drone strike in Baghdad assassinated Iran’s top military commander.
In a letter seen by Reuters, the US said it would reposition forces over the coming days and weeks.
The veracity of the letter has not yet been confirmed by the Pentagon.
